Karin Miller is a South African visual artist who creates unique collages in response to the contemporary problems that plague our society. Her work plays upon the idea of disguise and pattern through aesthetic elements of repetition paired with disruption. Through this visual juxtaposition, Miller's work comes unveil themes of beauty, tragedy, sexuality, physicality, and sanity. The artist has come to develop a perfect description of her own work. As stated on her Facebook page Miller's unique creations are "'fantasy pastiche' with a surreal edge."
