The paintings of Sean Norvet are beyond peculiar. Much like a modern day Giuseppe Arcimboldo, the artist combines a plethora of imagery--from Doritos to Rubics cubes to Segas--to create a single portrait of a modern, presumably American, adult. By layering pop culture imagery, Norvet comments on the outlandish materialism of modern life through grotesque characters.
