Voyage on the Planet

In response to present living conditions throughout the world, such as crowded environments, deteriorating city landscapes, and poor air quality, artist Chiu Chih developed her own symbolic solution. Through the use of only few materials, Chih created a see through backpack in which a plant rests. From the pack two hoses run, leading directly in to a breathing mask. The backpack, paired with a series of photographs titled Voyage on the Planet, explores depletion of energy resources and the changing human condition in the present era.
