Wade Guyton. |
Wade Guyton has developed an uncommon form of painting in which the artist repeatedly prints images on to pre-primed linen with an inkjet printer. As a result, images, marks, lines, and letters are absorbed in to the porous textile and disperse throughout the fabric rather than remaining crisply on top of the material. In the end the final paintings are ostensibly monochromatic, reflecting the scraped and scratches from the movement of the print heads and from being dragged across the floor and fed back in to the printer regularly.
