Marija Mandic creates abstract paintings that rely heavy on layering and texture. Her brush strokes create a complex network of leading lines, forming may orbicular compositions, while the grittiness of paper and marks of hardened paint give depth to Mandic's work. On her website, the artist explains that, "In my work I would like to show many elements from all that we see and feel. My paintings consist out of a complexity that moves from coincidence to accuracy as well as initiative to reflection."
