Erik Olson.

Erik Olson's paintings have texture--and I don't mean "texture," in the sense that here and there you can make out a brush stroke or a glob of paint. I am referring to texture, as in paint upon paint upon paint; paint so thick you can feel it's stickiness from across the room. Olson's work is absolutely mesmerizing. The viewer is left to wander thick landscapes of pigment, climb over mounds of glistening color, slip across layers of chroma. Take a chance, check out the rest of his work below, and traverse across landscapes of paint.
