I am ashamed to say I have never heard of German artist
Ekkehard Altenburger--the sculptor has been producing work since the mid-1990s. His site-specific, public installations are truly beautiful, particularly
Mirror House (pictured above). Installed in 1996 on the Isle of Tyree, Scotland, the home served as a temporary waterside installation. Though the structure no longer stands, Altenburger sells prints of his beautiful sculpture
online. He is truly an artist to keep an eye on the coming years.

I wonder how remote a location this is. I could imagine the artist made this purely to vex a passer by and add an element of magic to a world that's been all but untouched. Cool!
