"Lucyandbart" is a collaboration between artists Bart Hess (previously featured here) and Lucy McRae. The two reimagined human bodies and faces through use of textiles and papers, creating shockingly asymmetrical men and oddly bulbous women. Each subject seems a mutant of what they once were, their bodies reminiscent of the human form though consumed by something new. In the end, the photographs focus less on the people--or whatever they may be--and more on the physical transformations. Faces remain obscured by light, shadow, and attributes, which literally clouds the only humanity remaining in the subject.
