California Overtaken by Skeletons Made of Light

Forget those DIY "light painting" photographs everyone keeps posting on Facebook, Darren Pearson takes that no-skill talent and turns it on his head in his stunning photography. The artist uses the same pin-point light plus long exposure effects that we've all come to know, love, and abuse (for our cheesy graduation date photos and new year profile pics) but Pearson actually makes something of it. In his "California Soul" series, the artist explores California culture through surfing and skateboarding skeletons. Pearson's technique is positively stunning. I am shocked by how focused, detailed, and refined he can get a light drawing to be.
