I am now convinced that the Royal College of Art molds artists in to creative champions. Not only are both animators Eammon O'Neil and Julia Pott (previously here and here) students of the school's masters programs, but London based artist Marlene Steyn is also a fellow alumni. Styen is a painter who creates mixed media works of art. Her paintings are arranged in unique, overlapping layers that only a child's intuition could achieve. It is refreshing to find a painter who seems unbounded by traditional artistic technique and plays upon her puerile sensibility. The following images are just a smattering of Styen's beautiful and elaborate works of art.
