Cecilia Paredes is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works between Philadelphia, PA and Lima, Peru. She uses make up and body paint to create anthropomorphic images, transforming herself in to natural plants, landscapes, or animals. Paredes dubs this act of performance "photoperformances." In her series Landscape, the artist uses paint to blend in to floral printed wallpaper or fabric; a visceral act of camouflage.
