Human, Being.

Erin Mulvehill created the wonderful series Human, Being. The idea seems simple enough--images of people nude--but the concept and photographic execution is stunning and thought provoking. Three couples comprise the subject matter: a man and a man, woman and a woman, and a man and woman. Each couple is photographed in isolated landscapes, seemingly taking on the role of Adam and Eve (or Eve and Eve/Adam and Adam). There's something vulnerable, though intriguing, about the subjects' pale bodies perched precariously at the edge of a rocky cliff or stretched in the dry grass of a parched field. Mulvehill offers little description of the work, forcing the viewer to analyze on their own accord. The only written detail Mulvehill offers is a small quote, "Before earth there was eden."
