I hope you remember Zaha Hadid. She was featured on OH! back in March (view here). Recently, Hadid beat 10 finalists and won a contract to design and build the new national stadium for Japan. The venue will feature 80,000 seats, replace the existing Kasumigaoka National Stadium in Japan, and will act as a key element for Tokyo's efforts to host the 2020 Olympic Games. The venue is also projected to host the 2019 Rugby World Cup and perhaps future World Cup football matches. The building itself features Hadid's sleek, modern design aesthetic. With stark white sweeping lines, the stadium resembles a modern football.
