Beam & Anchor

I love Portland, Oregon. I love everything about it, from the bright green trees to the enormous bookstore to the persistent rain to the people. So when I stumbled upon the Fox is Black post on Beam & Anchor, I was first surprised I had never heard of it and, second, even more enamored with the idea of Portland, OR. There is an overwhelmingly creative vibe that resonates within the city and Beam & Anchor is a prime example of what a group of Oregon's artistic minds can do. For the most part, Beam & Anchor is a collective workspace. The top floor is a workspace, and the bottom floor a showroom. A variety of items are for sale in the showroom, from couches to soap to purses. The contributors to the Beam & Anchor concept are a painter, an upholsterer, a leather-maker, cabinet makers, and a handful of curators. It seems like a lovely community of tight-knit creative thinkers. Check out the video below to learn more!
