Alison Scarpulla creates eerie photographs, but the way she goes about it is surprisingly unique. Instead of relying on Photoshop, as most artists do nowadays, she smears her lenses with water or dirt, dips her negatives in acid and wine, or blows smoke on them to achieve her startlingly ethereal photos.
