Fabio Viale.

See that photo above? That's not a styrofoam Mona Lisa. That, is a remarkable marble statue created by Fabio Viale. Viale, an Italian based artist, takes popular imagery from everyday culture--like tires, crates, and paper airplanes--and sculpts them out of marble, creating familiar objects from an unconventional material. It takes enormous skill and technique to master marble, so a huge kudos to Viale, who takes craftsmanship and concept to the next level. (via KoiKoiKoi)
